1. Why so
many music formats? Does each format have different
pictures?
DTVMusic provides many formats to suit all
age and demographic profiles. We feel many niche formats
will give maximum choice to our affiliates as to what music
best suits their viewers. All of the DTVMusic photographic
library is available for use in all formats. The pictures
are chosen based on the context of the music.
2. Where are the
pictures from?
DTVMusic's photographic library comes from
our own photographers, including Michael Wadleigh, the academy
award winning director of the film "Woodstock" as
well as pubic sources such as the National Archives Records
Administration in Washington DC.
3. Is there a license
fee for the photographs?
No, all of the images are either owned by
DTVMusic or within the public domain so there is no additional
license fee.
4. Is there a license
fee for the music?
NO, DTVMusic works with ASCAP to provide hospitals and healthcare
facilities with music with no licensce fee. It is included
in the intallation of DTVMusic.
5. How long before a song repeats?
Depending on the format DTVMusic generally
uses between 400-700 songs in rotation. No sequence will
ever repeat exactly but a song usually comes up once every
30-45 hours.
6. Does DTVMusic update its song
lists?
Yes, quite often. DTVMusic will always be
keeping the content and songs fresh.
7. Do DTVMusic channels show up
on all of the TV's?
Yes, wherever cable television is available
in your facility. Most cable systems offer 70-90 channels,
and DTVMusic channels are added above those. For example,
channel 49 may be ESPN, channel 70 may be a shopping channel
and 71-78 are DTVMusic channels. If you add TV's, just plug
them into the cable.
8. How long does it take to install?
Once configured, a few hours. DTVMusic's
system mounts in a standard equipment rack and is located
at the cable television's entry point (head-end) inside your
facility.
